La Vieille Forge - bot l'eglise/Auvergne/France In onze oude Smidse ("La Vieille Forge") midden in het nog ongerepte heuvelland van de Puy de Dome kun je genieten van alles wat het leven de moeite waard maakt: rust, ruimte en een prachtige natuur. Wij, Ankie en Johanneke (resp. moeder en dochter), leven hier met 4 paarden, 3 ezels, een aantal honden en 2 poezen. Je verblijft in een van onze sfeervolle gastenkamers. Bij mooi weer ontbijt je op onze knusse binnenplaats, in de schaduw van onze grote oude treurwilg. In de winter en op koudere dagen eet je in de sfeervolle eetkeuken met een houtkachel. Daarnaast bieden wij de mogelijkheid om hier 's-avonds een hapje te eten. Kortom: een ideale plaats om even te onthaasten en tot jezelf te komen. En niet alleen in de zomer, ook in de winter ben je van harte welkom! Ons domein, dat ruim twee hectare omvat, is het hele jaar door open en uiterst geschikt voor het maken van wandeltochten, fietstochten en paardrijtochten. 's-Zomers is het aan ons meertje, gelegen aan een stromende beek, goed toeven... Of misschien liever in de tuin, op het terras met een heerlijk glas rosé bijvoorbeeld? Geniet van het klimaat, de rust, de ruimte en de nog ongekende stilte. Zit je liever in de schaduw, met een goed boek? It has four departments: Allier, Cantal, Haute-Loire and Puy de Dôme. We are situated in Lapeyrouse in the Puy de Dôme. You will find our guest-house in the little village of Lapeyrouse. When it is nice weather we serve breakfast and dinner on the terrace of the old bakery. You will enjoy the delicious local products. In our big garden which has a view on the Puy de Dôme mountains, you can rest in the deck-chairs and hammocks. In the village you can find a bakery, post office and two café-bars. The gîte (la maison du Cheix) is part of an old farmhouse and offers you a beautiful view over the mountains. You will find shops, restaurants and bars in the country village of Ambert. You will also find there the post office, swimming pool, supermarkets etc. On Thursdays there is a local market with products from the region. The surroundings are famous for their cultural and sporting possibilities. There are museums, castles and historical buildings to visit. For the more sporting of you there are possibilities for mountain biking, horseback riding, Delta flying, walking etc. THE LAY-OUT OF THE GITE The gîte is big enough for 6 persons and the lay out is as follows. On the ground floor you’ll find a large living room with an old fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge, gas stove, dishwasher, coffeemaker etc. In the cellar you’ll find a washing machine and dryer. The living room is centrally heated. On the intermediate floor there is a living room with TV, DVD, games and books. The room has connecting doors to the garden in the front with a view of the mountains. On this floor you’ll also find the shower and toilet. On the second floor is the sleeping accommodation with 3 beautiful bedrooms; one room has a bed of 1.40 m and the possibility of a second bed of 90 cm and the second has a bed of 1.40 m and the third has a bed of 1.20 m. All the bedrooms have electrical heating. HOW TO GET THERE? Coming from Ambert you follow the signs Vacivières and Col de Supeyres. In Valcivières you take the D 106 to the Col de Supeyres After about 3 km you arrive in Le Puy where you turn right at the sign Maison du Cheix and you are here Coming from the autoroutes you take the turn-off at Thiers direction Ambert. Just past Vertolay you turn left in the direction of Job. At the church in Job you turn right and after 3 km turn left to Valcivières and there just before the church turn left to the Col the Supeyres. After 3 km you enter le Puy and there to the right at the sign maison du Cheix and you will be here RENTAL CONDITIONS 2009 The rental conditions are included in the rent contract. In the rent is included the use of water, gas, 1/3 m3 wood for the fire place, and 100 kw electricity. Extra electricity will coast 0, 15 € per KWh. End cleaning cost of € 50 for one week and is not included in the rental price.
