Bed and breakfast Ferme Robin - Marsaz/Rhône-Alpes/France In the hills of the Drôme and at just 15' drive from the "auto route du soleil", you will find Bed and Breakfast Ferme Robin; an ideal place to enjoy the tranquility and natural surroundings of the French countryside, while only 5' from the small city St. Donat. The house offers 4 spacious guest rooms: two double rooms, a quadruple room and a family room for 6 people, each with en-suite bathroom with shower and with the possibility to connect to the Internet. The Facilities Ferme Robin is quietly situated and has 5 acres of terrain. The hilly countryside offers beautiful views on the Vercors and the Ardèche. You can take endless walks, cycle, play golf, discover the caves and the museums, or visit the picturesque towns. The well-known wine area "Crozes de Hermitage" allows you to visit several wine houses. Ferme Robin is also close to cities as Valence, Lyon, and Grenoble. An ideal place to enjoy the tranquillity and natural surroundings of the French countryside. At night you can enjoy the dinner menu, together with the other guests and your hosts. It consists of an aperitif, entree, main course, cheese and dessert, 1/4 wine. If you stay for a couple of days, the hosts will discuss the menu with you in order to make sure you are well taken care of. The house is surrounded by the woods of the "Massif de la Lauzière" (part of the French Alpes).  We have a large swimmingpool (8.40 mtr - 3.70 mtr). The lowest floor (70 m2) is for rent. It contains 1 big livingroom with a bed for 2 persons (2 mtr.-1.40 mtr), 1 small kitchen, 1 bedroom with a bed for 2 persons (2 mtr.-1.40 mtr) and 2 beds for singles, 1 toilet and 1 bathroom with a washing machine. It has its own entrance and its own garden. See the pictures. In the winter you will find 5 different skistations within 30 (car)minutes. In the summer you can swim in the nearby lake and walk as much as you like in the woods (lots of plants and animals, no people). Every time you enter the living room or the loggia the dazzling azure colours of the Mediterranean sea strike you. Nice benefits from an extraordinary micro-climate which has contributed to its worldwide reputation for almost 200 years.  Nice is indeed protected from the wind by the surrounding hills and the Estérel mountains to the west, and the north-western barrier of the Alps.  The sea breezes give a mild climate in winter and reduce the heat in the summer.   As a matter of fact, tourism originated in Nice in the 18th century with the winter stays of well-known aristocrats.  First the English came for the healing powers of the Côte d’Azur, but once they had established a mundane life in the region, all the European royalties and wealthy Americans joined them there. Nowadays, tourism is still Nice’s first economical activity.  After Paris, Nice is the largest French centre for tourism and its airport is the one but most important in France. Nice is known for its old town (Vieux Nice): narrow winding streets, secret little squares, frescoes and trompe-l’oeil, cafe terraces, traditional restaurants, daily Provencal markets in the Cours Saleya (flowers, fruit  and vegetables) and on Place Saint-François (fish). Every year in February, Nice is the stage for the immense celebration of Carnival.  Flower parades, musical groups, prestige soirées, entertainment, rock and techno concerts... all the magic of Carnival explodes for more than a fortnight, with a unique programme of festivities. The charm of Nice also consists in its Belle Époque façades, its 300 hectares of parks and gardens, its plane, lime, pine and palm trees and oleanders that line the boulevards, the fountains that decorate the Forum Masséna or the Esplanade d’Acropolis. No other French town except Paris has more museums and art galleries than Nice (19).  They honour the painters, sculptors, musicians and writers that have been fascinated by the Côte d’Azur. One of them is the museum of Henri Matisse in a 17th century Genoese villa and has a rich collection of the paintings from the long period he lived in Nice when he recovered from his bronchitis and discovered the Matisse blue colour, the colour of the air and light in Nice.  But most famous is Nice of course for the magnificent Promenade des Anglais, that runs along the stunning sea front. The Promenade’s most famous landmark is the luxury hotel Negresco with its rich art collection, its Michelin restaurant and the sculpture of Miles Davis by Niki de Saint-Phalle at the entrance.
